Description
The author Param Pujya Mahatama Shri Yashpal ji Maharaj (Pujya Bhai Sahib ji) has presented a simplified and practical way of doing sadhana in today’s context for the benefit of a common man. He also termed this spiritual practice as Anand yoga Sadhana. This practice unlike Ashtang Yoga as propounded by Maharshi Patanjali, does not involve the eight steps like Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayam, Pratyahar, Dharna, Dhyana and Samadhi. Rather, under the practice of Anand yoga, one straightaway begins with Dhyan (Concentration of mind) followed by Samadhi. Thus one skips all the initial six steps of Ashtang Yoga. The marvellous part of Anand yoga (Itimarg practice) is that this may be easily performed by any householder involved in day to day business, service, agriculture, administration, research or any other profession without deviating from one’s normal activities.
